Course Info

These courses are for those who are aiming to develop the ability to communicate in everyday situation, but at the same time to know some aspects of the fascinating Hispanic culture.

Speaking and listening will be the main focus of these courses with advice on pronunciation. Some grammar and written work is included if appropriate.

We use ‘Access Spanish 1’ course’s book. This course will enable learners to build up their confidence to communicate in everyday situations. This course is designed as an introductory course for absolute beginners, and as such, will establish a strong foundation and promote future success in Spanish learning for years of study to come. The instructor will provide practice on all the lexical and grammatical items introduced in the first two-thirds of the textbook and workbook.

The detailed practice and accompanying drills will strongly develop the four essential skills of learning Spanish: understanding, speaking, reading, and writing. This is a class with lots of speaking! This course features some interesting on line activities, both in listening as well as in reading and writing. It will be fun mixed in with some work.
